Happy Saturday! We are finally on the Farmer's Markets countdown...Only 2 more to go...Yipeeeeee!!! Even my Mr. is ready for a break...(Hard to believe but true!) I'm praising God that this weekends weather was so beautiful & warm...it's so much easier to help customers in Fall clothes vs. my bundled up Winter attire :D
Today, as I was driving to the Pasco market, I got to watch the earth come alive as the sun hit it...what a beautiful sight. Golden shades and hues of warm color stretching as far as my eyes could see. I just LOVE how God paints the earth during Fall!
Then, I spotted a Black Widow on the ceiling of the ladies restroom...right above the mirror...Yep, it's true..I was checking out my hair, and the black spot caught my eye. Well, I'm not a girl who's afraid of spiders...but, I didn't have a way to get it down...so, I did what every country girl would do...I looked for the market manager...For some reason, he didn't believe me..."Aw, there's no black widows in that bathroom"....Mmmmm there really is! Next, he says, "Okay, make sure there's no one in there and I'll come see for myself...and I'll get something to get it down with..."You know you could of just grabbed it with a paper towel..." I replied..."I prefer a weapon to smash it with" :D So, into the bathroom we go...kind of a funny feeling being in a "girls only" spot with a guy! "Oh, that's just a spider not a black widow" he tells me again..to which, of course, I say, "but, it is"...so, he takes the broom and knocks it into the sink...still not convinced I'm right..he takes it outside to a table, flicks it off the broom...and still not convinced...tries to flip it over with his finger...I see the red spot immediately...screaming..."there it is...see it is a black widow." As guys are...he says..."I can't see it...let me put my glasses on..."...PLEASE.......already :D By now the Black Widow has flipped back on her legs....so, again he touches her to flip her over (why he doesn't use a stick is beyond me???) There's the red spot again...Yep...it's true it was a Black Widow...Was being the operative word as then he smashed her gone!
Later during the market, my eyes see and adorable little girl, about 5 years old...all dressed in a white, Cinderella/Princess dress, hair in a pretty ponytail, and sparkling shoes. She looked so adorable I couldn't help but watch and smile as she twirled and everyone stopped to talk to her. Then, I found out...she was all dressed up, JUST BECAUSE she wanted too! How awesome is that...!!! I wish us grown-ups would do that sometimes...just dress up in our Cinderella gowns just because we want too! Why do we always loose that sense of wonder, free-ness, and just doing something because we feel like it?? I don't know about you...but, I don't think all the fun should be for those 5 & under...so, I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe...I should go to the last farmer's market as a PRINCESS for the day!!!
May your day be filled with many sights too...most of all may it be filled with the great company of family, friends, and laughter! Sweet blessings!
