Yellow...Today's color is Yellow! I decided to make today a day of Sunshine, Joy, & Fun...and so far...you know what..it's worked!!!
Here's just a few Sweet blessings that have happened....
*My preschoolers were PERFECT today! Sweet, Easy-going, Fun....just Perfect!!!
* Miss Susy brought me a Starbucks Ice Tea at lunchtime....and you know what...when you give up drinking them for a week or so...Oh, how GOOD do they taste :D
*I found extra time to water my porch plants and sweep off the dust & cobwebs!!!
Now for the big one....we have this horse...Well, actually, she's the Mr.'s horse...his first, best, & favorite...she came to our home when we had just been married a couple years....so, you know she's not that young anymore : D Her name is Trixie..and the last couple years she's had a lot of trouble with her feet...her soles are thin, and it seems unless we keep pads on her front feet she goes very lame. There was an incident in September that a gate got left open and she and another horse spent a great evening in the barn eating alfalfa & grain to their hearts content...(just like us...it tastes too good to stop..and later, it doesn't feel so good!) Long story short...she foundered some...which means she went lame (not able to walk well at all...only with short, slow movement because her feet became inflamed and very, very tender & sore). The farrier came and trimmed her, checked her all out, and decided we should wait to see if any abscesses came....so, I gave her some bute (that's like giving her ibuprofen) every couple of days...and finally, after a month I called him to come back..and this time he put pads on again. (Which usually helps in a day)...That was Monday...Last night she could hardly walk at all..when I went out around 6:30 to bute her she was laying down..something she doesn't do at that time of day...she let me go right up and bute her, not moving at all...and while I was moving a tub to put water right next to her...she layed flat out...NOT something a horse does a lot either. I have to say, I was pretty worried....because there is one thing I cannot bear...and that is seeing anything in pain! You know I was laying my hands on her praying over her. (And, I gave the farrier a call too :D)
This morning when I went out to feed she was still pretty bad...it's very hard to watch a horse walk on three legs...so, I prayed again...hoping the farrier would have time to come today and take a look....AND...are your ready for this...when I got home tonight and went out to feed, she was walking GREAT!!!! PRAISE GOD!!! And, to top it off, the farrier did stop in on his way home (he just lives down the road :D It's good to have the right neighbors in all the right places :D) and, he was surprised too!
So, I am totally feeling YELLOW!!! God is so good!!! And, now...I'm headed to meet with my bible study girls...then, off to a birthday celebration for my niece (Yep, she's 21 today..and I don't know how that happened!!!). And, hopefully, when I get home...my Mr. will be there too! So, what color was your day???? From my little spot to yours.....Sweet blessings!

You are so sweet to pray over your horse...and I'd have to totally agree with you...every time I think of you, I see yellow! You are always such a strong, faithful, cheerful servant. I'm blessed to know you and call you my friend.
